The World is Ready for the iPhone 5
Apple has just completed one of their most profitable years. This is mostly due to the success of their iPhone sales. In 2011 the company sold about 30 million iPhones in the fourth quarter. One of the best selling phones was that of the 4S handset. With its next-generation phone the iPhone 5 Preview soon to be released sometime this year, there’s much rumor and speculation associated with its physical and technical specifications. The iPhone 5 release date is the subject of many analysts and device bloggers who try to anticipate features and technical specifications. This information is typically kept from the average consumer until a few months prior to the official announcement from Apple. With the success of the previous phones, analysts that cover Apple are predicting that the company will be able to sell approximately 50 million handsets or more in the coming quarters.

With so much speculation surrounding the iPhone 5 release date, users are anticipating a new form factor designed from the upcoming generation. The four and the 4S have similar designs but differ from that of the models before them. It has been rumored that Apple has been testing a teardrop design that resembles elements utilized in their notebook lines. Many speculate that the thickness of the phone will be distributed differently than that of previous models. In addition to these physical changes the phone is also rumored to have a larger screen in addition to advanced display properties for its retina display technology.
Mix all of these factors in with an advanced handset that has full access to the benefits of the App Store and the iPhone 5 release date speculation will generate a fever pitch. It will be interesting to see how successful this latest version will be with the passing of the late Steve jobs. He was a truly influential designer and the leading force behind Apple as a company. We may see some of his prior influences in this new iPhone 5 Phone. It remains to be seen but I expect nothing but the best from a company that has produced such a successful piece of technology.
